  2. Tap the family's name at the top.

  4. The new owner taps Yes, I'll take over on the Family tab.

Does everyone in the family need their own phone?

No. Children without a phone of their own can join as a profile the adults look after – they can be tagged in the calendar, cook dinner and have a living schedule. Anyone who wants to use the app themselves needs their own phone or tablet – iPhone, iPad or Android.

What's the difference between an adult and a member?

An adult can invite people, remove members, look after the children and change the family's settings. A member – for example Grandma or the babysitter – uses the calendar, the lists, polls and contacts without managing anything, and doesn't see other people's location or alerts unless the owner turns it on.

We live in two homes. Does Peepz work for us?

Yes. Each household has its own family in Peepz, and anyone who lives in both switches with one tap. With a living schedule, the app switches family by itself at changeover – and neither family sees the other. How two homes work.

The invite isn't valid any more. What do I do?

An invite is valid for seven days and can be used once. Ask the person who invited you to open the invite under Pending invites and tap Show new code and link.

This is the guardian's consent, and it's saved in the family's security log. After that, the child starts and stops sharing themselves.

Can my family see where I am all the time?

No. Your location is only shared when you turn it on yourself, only with your family and only for as long as you've chosen. The member role – for example Grandma or the babysitter – doesn't see shared locations unless the family's owner turns it on.

Does the emergency alert replace 112?

No. The emergency alert reaches your family, not the emergency services, and it needs an internet connection. If you are in immediate danger, call 112.

Do we get a notification when someone gets home?

Only when someone travels with Companion. Then the people following the trip are told when the person has arrived. Otherwise Peepz doesn't keep track of when anyone comes or goes.

It says Peepz isn't allowed to read my location.

Tap Open Settings on the Location tab and allow location While Using the App. Peepz never asks for Always. Emergency alerts can still be sent, but without your location.

Who can see the family places?

Everyone in the family. The places appear as quick picks in Where are you going?, and the status shows the place's name when someone is there. The owner and adults add them: tap the pencil on the Family tab and then Add a place under Family places, search for the address, choose it in the list, enter a name and tap Save. The family can have up to 20 places. The notifications your family gets never say the place's name.
